I Stephen Lawrence of the Township of Thurlow in the County of Hastings and Province of Upper Canada being weak in body but of sound memory, Blessed be to God, Doe this twenty fourth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixteen, Make and publish this my last will and testament in mannering following (That is to say) First I give to my son Daniel Lawrence the east half of Lot number nine in the First Concession of Thurlow and west half of Lot number Ten in the First Concession of Thurlow together with the Broken front Excepting half of my Nursery which I reserve and give to my son Stephen Lawrence for ten years. Next after my decease, as also I give and bequeathe to son Stephen Lawrence one hundred and fifty acres of land lying in the second Concession of Thurlow being part of Lotts nine and ten running across three hundred acres to be divided east and west joining John De Groof----as I also I give and bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth Dewit fifty acres of land lying in the second Concession of Thurlow composed of part of Lot Number nine (Where she now resides ---and then at the south end Running across three hundred acres to be divided East and West, to her, and her heirs after her Decease. As also I give and bequeathe to my daughter Parmela Holstead, and the heirs of Martha Duttan and Sarah Reed my natural born daughters (Deceased) all the moveable property I possess on the (Day of my Decease) to be equally divided amongst them. As also I give and bequeathe to my Daughter Rachel De Groof a certain bond which I hold against John De Groof Dated the sixteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eight for twenty five pounds Lawfull money of this Province.
